Instructions to reset the time on the Alert Eagle 400:
1) Unplug the serial cable from the printer, if one is installed in the AE400.
2) Connect a serial cable from a pc serial port to the printer port of the AE400.
3) Open up a terminal program (like Hyperterminal) on the pc. (Start/Programs/Accessories/Communications/Hyperterminal).
4) Create (and save for the future) a new connection. Connect using serial port. (9600 baud, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no parity, no flow control).
5) File/properties/settings tab/ascii setup/ascii receiving, check "append line feed to incoming line ends". This setting can only be made when hyperterminal is disconnected from the AE400.
6) Save your settings File/Save.
7) Press and hold in the menu button on the AE400 until the menu appears on the pc.
8) Choose menu option 2, choose N for new time, and enter the new time.
9) Choose menu option 3, choose N for new date, and enter new date and day of the week.
10) Press E for exit the menu.
11) Reconnect the printer to the AE400, if one is installed.
12) The correct time should be on the AE400 from LCD screen.
Instructions to reset the time on the LED Signboards
Using FipsSender Software
1) If the signboards are connected using the FipsSender software, go to the control message tab.
2) Under the right pull down menu select "Set Clock Time." **Make sure your PC time and date
are correct first!!
3) Go to the send ethernet tab and send the new time and date to all of the signs.
Instructions to reset the time on the LED Signboards Using
The Remote Control
1) Point the remote to the front, left part of the sign, about 2 inches above the Pro-Lite logo.
2) Press esc.
3) Press run/stop to reach stop mode.
4) Press esc.
5) Press S for set.
6) Press enter to reach century and insert new century, if needed.
7) Press enter to reach year and insert new year, if needed.
8) Press enter to reach month and insert new month, if needed.
9) Press enter to reach day and insert new day, if needed.
10) Press enter to reach weekday and insert new weekday, if needed.
1=sat 2=sun 3=mon 4=tues 5=wed 6=thurs 7=fri
11) Press enter to enter hour (24 hour time), if needed.
12) Press enter to enter minutes, if needed.
13) Press enter and then Y for 24 hour time.
14) The signs is ID=01. Press enter.
15) Baud should be 9600.
16) Beep is on.
17) Upon return to stop mode, press run/stop to restart the sign.
